"You may be quite shocked to learn just how many ways there is to consume cannabis. You need to find the one that is right for you. Consult your doctor or dispensary attendant if you have questions"

Florida legal cannabis consumption is restricted to medical use for registered patients, with delivery methods categorized into several authorized routes.

Inhalation (Smoking and Vaping)

  • Smokable Flower: Raw cannabis plant material meant for smoking using pipes, papers, or joints (requires a specific smoking recommendation from a certified physician).

  • Vape Cartridges & Disposables: Refined cannabis distillate or oil heated via a battery-powered vaporizer device.

  • Concentrates & Dabbing: High-potency extracts like wax, shatter, and rosin vaporized at higher temperatures on a rig or specialized device.

Oral Consumption

  • Edibles: Infused foods and drinks, including gummies, chocolates, and baked goods processed through the digestive system.

  • Capsules & Tablets: Pill-form cannabis oil or decarboxylated powder swallowed like a traditional vitamin or supplement.

  • Syringes/Distillates (Oral): Graduated oral syringes containing clear or amber distillate that can be swallowed directly or used in home cooking.

Sublingual Administration

  • Tinctures & Sprays: Liquid cannabis extracts dropped or sprayed under the tongue for absorption through oral mucous membranes.

Topical and Transdermal Application

  • Topicals: Lotions, balms, salves, and creams rubbed onto the skin for localized, non-psychoactive relief.

  • Transdermal Patches: Adhesive patches placed on the skin that slowly release cannabinoids into the bloodstream

"So with all of these choices have you ever considered that one method might be more potent or the amount of time it takes for the effect to kick in may differ" .. Read on

1. Concentrates and Dabbing (Strongest)

  • Why it's strongest: These extracts (wax, shatter, rosin, live resin) contain 60% to 90%+ THC.

  • The effect: Inhalation delivers cannabinoids directly to the lungs for a nearly instant, highly intense peak.

2. Edibles and Oral Distillates

  • Why it's second: While slower to kick in, the liver converts Delta-9-THC into 11-Hydroxy-THC.

  • The effect: 11-Hydroxy-THC is significantly more potent and causes a much stronger, longer-lasting body high than inhaled THC.

3. Vape Cartridges

  • Why it's third: Vaporizer oils and distillates typically range from 70% to 90% THC.

  • The effect: It delivers a rapid, powerful onset similar to dabbing, but individual hits generally deliver smaller amounts of concentrate at a time.

4. Smokable Flower

  • Why it's fourth: Whole flower contains lower raw THC percentages than concentrates, usually ranging from 15% to 30% THC.

  • The effect: Inhalation provides an immediate onset, but combustion destroys some cannabinoids, making it less concentrated than vaping or dabbing extracts.

5. Sublinguals (Tinctures and Sprays)

  • Why it's fifth: Absorbed directly through the mucous membranes under the tongue, bypassing the liver's heavy modification.

  • The effect: It offers a moderate, faster-acting onset than edibles, but lacks the intense punch of inhalation methods.

6. Transdermal Patches

  • Why it's sixth: Patches use permeation enhancers to bypass the skin and enter the bloodstream directly.

  • The effect: It delivers a slow, steady, time-released dose rather than a sudden peak, resulting in a highly controlled and mild sensation.

7. Capsules and Tablets

  • Why it's seventh: Like edibles, they go through the liver, but they are typically manufactured in strict, lower-dose micro-dosages (e.g., 2.5mg to 10mg per pill).

  • The effect: They provide a highly predictable, mild, and long-lasting systemic effect.

8. Topicals (Weakest)

  • Why it's weakest: Creams, balms, and lotions only penetrate the local skin layers and muscles.

  • The effect: They do not enter the bloodstream or reach the brain, providing zero psychoactive effects or systemic strength.
